Get To Know The Author: Colleen Hoover (although I think everyone knows her already... just in case)

Colleen Hoover's love for writing began in 1985 when she was five years old. Her first story was titled "Mystery Bob" and was a huge hit with her mother, who was really good at faking interest.

Colleen continued to write short stories for friends and family until December of 2011, when she decided to write a long story she titled, "Slammed." She self-published SLAMMED to Amazon in January, 2012 and it hit the NYT's bestsellers list in May, 2012. She has since signed with Atria Books, a division of Simon & Schuster, and now has six NYT's bestsellers. Colleen prefers to be called a writer, as the term "author" still terrifies her and makes this feel like a job with expectations. She doesn't work well under pressure and hopes writing will always remain fun and exciting.

Colleen's newest novel, Never Never released in January. She is currently working on a new novel, CONFESS, which she is writing as fast as she can before she wakes up from this crazy dream.

Colleen's books are so addictive. For a long time I constantly saw people praising her books and I was like 'what the hell is so special about them?!'. The blurb of her books cannot prepare you for the roller-coaster of feels you get in her books. 

After finishing my first book by her, I was completely stunned. Speechless. Breathless. I love her writing style! She can combine a romance with so many twist and a dash of what-the-hell moments. I just love her. No need to say more. If you haven't read anything about her: just do it.

Get To Know The Author: Rainbow Rowell!

Rainbow writes the cutest romances ever! I read 3 out of her 4 books and all three are so good. My favorite one is Eleanor & Park!

Personal info:

Rainbow Rowell writes books. Sometimes she writes about adults (Attachments and Landline). Sometimes she writes about teenagers (Eleanor & Park and Fangirl). But she always writes about people who talk a lot. And people who feel like they're screwing up. And people who fall in love.

When she's not writing, Rainbow is reading comic books, planning Disney World trips and arguing about things that don't really matter in the big scheme of things.

She lives in Nebraska with her husband and two sons.

Amy knew at an early age that writing was something she wanted to do, and she divided her time between writing songs and stories as she grew.

Lisa De Jong is a wife, mother and full-time number cruncher who lives in the Midwest.

Her writing journey involved insane amounts of coffee and many nights of very little sleep but she wouldn't change a thing.

She also enjoys reading, football and music.

These books can be read in any order! You could even start backwards, it doesn't matter, because they are stand-alones. But all the books connect in some way, so it's fun to read them in order ;)

She also wrote another series. It's the Heart duology. The books are Plastic Hearts and Glass Hearts.

I haven't read these yet, but I'm assuming the second book is an actual sequel ;)

Get To Know The Author #4: Lacey Weatherford!

Every two weeks I'll present you one of my favorite authors. There are a lot, so be prepared! ;) This week I'm going to talk about Lacey Weatherford!

Lacey Weatherford was born in Ft. Meade Maryland while her father was serving in the military. She has been a lifelong resident of Arizona, spending most of her time growing up in the small rural town of Clay Springs.

When she and her husband moved away from the area, Lacey took the opportunity to take some creative writing classes at the local college to help further along her interests. Several years later, they were blessed with the opportunity to move back to Clay Springs with their family. The town had finally succeeded in building their library and Lacey had the opportunity to be President of the Friends of the Library for a very short time, before relocating.

Lacey and her family still live in the White Mountains of Arizona, where she continues to write young adult novels that have a fantasy/fairytale or paranormal bent to them, as well as being sure to include a great romantic storyline!

I haven’t read all her books yet, but the ones I did read were amazing!

I read the whole Crush series and Allure (the first book of the Leathers novels).

I hope I’ll have the chance to read the others soon, because Lacey’s writing style is amazing! The Crush series is one of my favorite series. I was completely absorbed into her story. The characters she created are always so real. I just love her books!!

I read Easy in January 2014 and it introduced me to New Adult. It was the first book I read from this genre, and I’m hooked since then. Easy is easily (see what I did there? ;D) one of my favorite books of all times! Tammara has an amazing writing style! I loved Breakable too of course (again: one of my favs), but I have to admit: I haven’t read the Between The Lines series. Although I’m definitely planning to! I’m sure it’s awesome too. I hope I’ll be able to purchase the books soon ;)

Anyways, if you love New Adult, then I’m definitely recommending you the Contours of the Heart duology! It’s perfect. Seriously, trust me on this! It will rip your heart into a million pieces and then surprise you at the most unexpected moments. Sounds fun, huh? ;)

My thoughts about her :

Jennifer is my hero. She’s my favorite author of ALL TIMES! She’s able to write my favorite kind of paranormal romances. You know, the kind with the super swoon-worthy supernatural being (I’m totally not talking about Daemon!). Everything she writes I love. I have read the Lux series, part of the With You saga and a few stand-alones of her, and I loved them all. Both of the series I read are my favorites of all time (Yes, I like them even more than Harry Potter!!). 
She creates the best characters ever. Daemon Black, Cam Hamilton... They are the reasons why my boyfriend expectations are so high. But I'm not complaining at all ;)
Gosh, my love for her books is never-ending. Her writing style is SO good. It's a roller coaster of feelings. Every time I finish a book of her I'm basically a puddle of feels. 

She’s also one of the sweetest authors I know. She is so dedicated and she interacts a lot with her readers. 
I love reading her new blog posts and following her Facebook page. AND she also loves Supernatural (the CW Show) and has a crush on Four (from Divergent). I would totally want to be besties with her! ;)
